The winner of the Faith & Football 2013 Social Enterprise & Business Challenge has been decided! Five judges spent the whole day working through all 37 submissions to the Challenge and finally came to a unanimous decision!
The judges represented local, independent businesses from Affinion, Southern Co-operative, PC World and Spirit Circuits. This year's entries were very impressive with the judges being blown away by the stanard from the 14 year olds.
Everyone who has completed the Challenge will receive a certificate, but as always there can only be one winner! This is set to be revealed at the Social Enterprise & Business Challenge Final which is taking place on Tuesday 11th June at Fratton Park, home of Portsmouth Football Cub. |

Today is the deadline day for all business plan submissions from all participating teams. This year has seen a record number of teams taking part in the challenge and yet again the judging will be difficult with some excellent competition. The Fruity Fellas Business were the first to submit their work, with all of the Directors hand delivering their storyboard of their business journey over the last few months. All of the submissions will be presented to the independent panel of judges who will spend a whole day deliberating over the young people's achievements.
There is only one team which wins the prize to India, however everyone who crosses the finishing line is a winner. Each team has faced many a challenge and all have been extremely determined to finish well.
Steve Rolls, Enterprise Challenge Co-ordinator, has noticed the quality of work this year, "Each year I am surprised as to the ideas the young people come up with and the high standard of work they produce. This year has been like no other with the standard rising to the best we have seen! I wouldn't like to be a judge, there are so many great companies that have achieved so much, it will be a tough call!" |

On Sunday 21st April Faith and Football Farnborough took 28 children and adults for a Wembley Tour! It was an excellent time with Dads, Mums and Grandparents all attending with their children. All the children have taken part in Faith & Football's Farnborough League and have enjoyed a season of playing football together.
It was a great day had by all and a good opportunity to build friendships. One parent said, "Thank you so much for organising the trip, we appreciate all your team does in the community!” Another said, “Thank you for a fab day both my children haven’t stopped talking about it since they got in!"
Faith & Football Farnborough are hoping to organise a Beach day for all the families involved and a football trip for the dads to the Portsmouth vs Argyle game next season!
