One of the passions at Faith & Football is to help those who are educating the poor and needy around the world. With that in mind we have forged a link with the Ntimaru Educational Centre (NEC) in Kenya. The Centre was started in 2011 by Jane and Simmy Mwita to promote quality education in the isolated and marginalized Ntimaru, Division, Kuria East District, Migori County in Kenya and has grown steadily with help from international supporters.
Faith & Football are delighted to contribute towards the life of the school by donating a substantial amount of football kit so that the students will be able to enjoy sport as part of their educational experience at the Ntimaru Education Centre. In addition clothing and educational materials have been donated to Director Jane Mwita for the school who has said “We are so grateful for these kind donations which will bring much enjoyment and support to our students”
We have also supported the Kibera Saints, a football programme developed by Bishop Andrew in the largest slum area in Nairobi. Running since 2013 the Saints have 160 young footballers many of whom are former criminals. As a direct result of the programme crime in the area has been reduced by 80%.
